Digital Skills for all Queenslanders Roadshow - Mount Isa

Students, Teachers and Librarians are invited to get hands-on with digital technology through workshops delivered by experts and real-life practitioners.

See technology in action and hear about our presenters' own digital journeys, the impact that technology might have on future employment and the opportunities that digital technologies can provide.

Workshops include:

  • Innovative Tech - for youth, by youth. Presented by Advance Queensland Community Digital Champions Yash Dutt & Dunija Ariyaratne
  • Digitally Transformed & Inclusive Community Living. Presented by Advance Queensland Community Digital Champion Anne Livingstone
  • Building the Future of Creative Technology: Makers. Presented by Advance Queensland Community Digital Champion Mic Black
  • Coding Kids. Presented by Advance Queensland Community Digital Champion Emily de la Pena
  • Add Wi-Fi to Everything. Presented by Advance Queensland Community Digital Champion Mic Black
  • She Flies. Presented by Dr Karen Joyce / Dr Catherine Ball
  • Robotics & Technology in the Classroom. Presented by State Library of Queensland & Digital Careers
  • The Robots are coming (plus so much more!). Presented by State Library of Queensland
  • Prototype Explosives Detectors. Exhibit presented by Paul Shaw
