
Innovation Lunch Series - Does Smart Assistive Technology Deployment Improve Quality Outcomes For Community Care Providers?

Missed our previous Innovation Lunch with Professor Greg Alexander? Don't stress! The CCSATC is bringing him back for another session in November.
Professor Greg Alexander has a broad background in human factors, informatics, gerontology, patient safety and quality improvement. He has specialized education in health systems, informatics, and gerontology.
He is leading a research team that is for the first time ever, comparing nationally, nursing home quality measurements and information technology implementation in an R01 funded by AHRQ.
He is also co-leading a large national demonstration project funded by Centres for Medicare and Medicaid. In this research, himself and his team are implementing a health information exchange system and monitoring adoption and use of technology designed to improve communication between different healthcare stakeholders in order to reduce avoidable hospitalizations in nursing homes.
