This presentation will share knowledge and experience gained through the ILC WA MyTech Project. Smart AT is often not prioritized despite the potential for it to maximize independence and social participation. This presentation will share examples of how current technology can be used to control the home environment through case studies from the MyTech Project. Through MyTech it was discovered that little was known about Smart AT despite some products being well established in the industry. It shows the great need for education and advocacy surrounding assistive technology in order for this area to reach all those whom it can benefit.
