A message from the Department of Communities, Child Safety & Disability Services

The Queensland Disability Conference 2016

The conference will be held in Cairns, Maryborough and Toowoomba on Wednesday 24 August 2016 and is a great opportunity for people within and beyond Queensland’s disability sector to share information, create new connections, and encourage innovation to make a difference for people with disability.

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is the start of a major change in the lives of Queenslanders with disability and their communities. The NDIS is already underway in parts of north Queensland and the state wide rollout began in Queensland on 1 July 2016.

The Queensland Disability Conference 2016 will explore opportunities that this major social reform offers in our own backyard - opportunities for Queenslanders, for our communities, our economy, our businesses and our workforce.

The 2016 conference will offer more opportunities to be part of the event than ever before. You can join the state wide conference in Cairns or at one of the regional conferences in Maryborough and Toowoomba.
