Would you Marry your Smartphone?

Would you marry your Smartphone? Someone already did. It doesn’t seem a very far cry from sleeping with your phone, refusing to let it out of your hand and using it all day, every day – things people are currently doing. Technological advancements improve daily, but at what cost? What impact is using Smartphones having on our relationships and society?

As part of National Science Week 2017, ABC Science has teamed up with researchers from Griffith University, Murdoch University and Western Sydney University to help us understand how Smartphones are changing our lives – for better and for worse.

We want you! You can express your thoughts and opinion via the Smartphone Survey to help researchers make recommendations around Smartphone use, especially for children and teenagers. ‘Getting Australians to share their own experiences is going to be incredibly valuable,’ Kathryn Modecki from Griffith University said.
